What is an Electromagnetic Flow Meter and how does it work?
An Electromagnetic Flow Meter (Magmeter) measures the flow rate of conductive liquids using Faraday's Law of Electromagnetic Induction. When conductive liquid flows through a magnetic field, it generates a voltage proportional to its velocity. Our VIFLOW-MAG series offers sizes from DN10 to DN500 with 4-20mA and RS485 output, IP65/IP68 protection, and GPRS/4G telemetry.
What pipe sizes and flow ranges are available for your flow meters?
Our electromagnetic flow meters are available in sizes from DN10 mm to DN500 mm (flange type). They can measure flow rates starting from very low velocities up to high-velocity industrial flows. The flow range depends on the pipe diameter — contact us for a custom sizing recommendation based on your application.
What liquids can be measured by your flow meters?
Our electromagnetic flow meters can measure any electrically conductive liquid — including clean water, wastewater, sewage, slurries, chemicals, acids, beverages, and more. They are NOT suitable for non-conductive fluids like oils, gases, or pure water (conductivity <5 μS/cm). Our ultrasonic flow meters are ideal for such applications.
What is CGWA compliance and do your meters meet the requirements?
CGWA (Central Ground Water Authority) mandates real-time monitoring of groundwater extraction for industries extracting more than a specified limit. Our CGWA-compliant flow meters include integrated 4G/GPRS telemetry to transmit data directly to the CGWA portal, along with piezometers and DWLR for water level monitoring — providing a complete end-to-end compliance solution.
What does HWRA compliance involve for flow meters in Rajasthan?
HWRA (Haryana Water Resources Authority) requires industries and water users to install certified flow meters with real-time data logging and transmission to the HWRA portal. Our HWRA-certified electromagnetic flow meters include GPRS/4G telemetry, secure data logging, and portal API integration — ensuring you remain fully compliant without manual reporting.
How does the telemetry system transmit data to government portals?
Our telemetry systems use 4G/GPRS SIM-based communication to transmit flow, water level, and quality data at configurable intervals to government portals such as CGWA, HWRA, RSPCB, CPCB, and SPCB servers. The data is encrypted and transmitted using standard REST/MQTT protocols. Both battery-operated and mains-powered variants are available.
What is a Piezometer with DWLR and who needs it?
A Piezometer with Digital Water Level Recorder (DWLR) is a submersible sensor installed in a borewell or open well to continuously measure and log groundwater levels. It is mandatory for industries extracting groundwater under CGWA compliance. Our battery-operated DWLR can store months of data offline and transmit to portals once connected to a telemetry unit.
What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?
All our products come with a standard 1-year guarantee. Extended warranty of 1 additional year is available for ₹5,999. We provide 24/7 service maintenance and instrumentation support across India. Our team offers on-site installation assistance, annual maintenance contracts (AMC), and remote diagnostics via our telemetry platform.
What are the installation requirements for electromagnetic flow meters?
For accurate measurement, electromagnetic flow meters require: (1) A minimum of 5× pipe diameter of straight pipe upstream and 2× downstream of the sensor, (2) Full pipe flow (no partial flow), (3) The pipe must always be full of liquid, (4) Proper grounding of the meter body. Our technical team provides site assessment and installation guidance as part of our service offering.
